A familiar room that you may have slept in at some prior visit in the past. Like most bedrooms of the estate, these quarters offer you a little rest and recuperation during your long days exploring the surrounding rooms.

The Bedroom sometimes contains an item over the table, except for the trunk which spawns on the foot of the bed. The possibilities are:

Effect

The Bedroom grants 2 whenever entered.

As leaving and entering the room takes 2 to perform, this effectively makes it free to enter or exit the room, thus reducing usage when backtracking through a long path multiple times. In some cases, it may be possible to use the effect more effectively:

  • If an adjacent room has its own Entry effect, this can be used to activate that effect repeatedly with no loss.
    • In the event of the adjacent room being another Bedroom, this can be used to farm an unlimited amount of steps.
  • Certain doorways have the trigger to lose steps offset from the entrance of the room, allowing farming an unlimited amount of steps by repeatedly entering the room without walking past this trigger. These are the Antechamber, or if the Bedroom is drafted in the Outer Room.

When digging while using a Treasure Map, Baron's Bafflers will be found instead of the usual treasure. The bafflers and damage to the ground are both permanent.

As a Bedroom

  • Drafting the Bedroom with a Nursery in the estate provides 5.
  • Drafting the Bedroom will cause an additional 1 to spawn in the Servant's Quarters when the latter is drafted.
  • Drafting the Bedroom can trigger or contribute towards triggering a particular experimental trigger which is activated by drafting Bedrooms after the first two.
  • Entering the Bedroom while holding Sleeping Mask provides +5, once per room.
  • The Bedroom is drawn significantly more often during a Bedrooms-restricted draft, initiated by using the violet book in the Secret Passage or by using the Prism Key on a locked Bedroom door.
    • The Bedroom can appear consistently as a default option even after it has been drafted once the draft pool is depleted, typically appearing in Slot 1 once the pool is completely devoid of valid Bedrooms.
  • West Path [Outer Room: Shrine] Drafting the Bedroom while cursed will cause the player to lose 1.
  • Upgrade Disk [Upgrade Spoiler: Cloister] Drafting the Bedroom from the Cloister of Mila will cause it to contain an additional item. See Cloister of Mila for more information.

Additional information

  • The Bedroom is guaranteed to appear on the very first draft of the game, in the first slot alongside the Closet and Hallway.
  • When the Bedroom is drafted on Day 1, it always contains a trunk.
    • In earlier versions of the game, this trunk only appeared when drafted eastwards from the Entrance Hall as the first draft in the game.
  • An illustration of the Bedroom appears on page 5 of Drafting Strategy: Architectural Digest Vol. 1 as an example of a Bedroom.
  • The Bedroom is represented by one of the fish tanks in the Aquarium, which contains pink and purple coral and models of miniature furniture including a wardrobe, bed and bedside table.
