The Mount Holly Casino offers an intimate and exciting setting for wagers of any scale, and guests may be surprised to discover how much strategy is involved in these machines, which are traditionally only thought of as games of chances. A buy-in of two gems is required for admittance into this exclusive room.

Drafting restrictions

Casino can be permanently added to the draft pool in the Drafting Studio.

Items

Casino always contains 15. With very high luck, it may spawn an additional item.

Roulette Table

The Casino contains a roulette table. It can only be spun once per day, and the rewards change based on how many coins are used to spin.

There are 12 spots on the table, but half of them are red and give nothing if the ball lands there. The ball appears to choose a spot uniformly at random.

All Roulette Prizes
5 20 100
10 30 200
20 50 300
2 4 4 and 4
2 4 10 of each:
2 2 4
2 2 free spins 2 free spins

Free spins occur immediately, spinning the same roulette wheel twice again and giving the rewards of both. These free spins can stack if it lands on 2 free spins again.

Slot Machine

Prizes

The casino contains several identical slot machines. Spinning the slots costs 1, and causes 4 symbols to appear. An individual slot can be rerolled using a "bonus spin", keeping the other three results as they were. These bonus spins cost 1 and can only be performed up to 3 times.

Once the player is satisfied with the results, they can claim the payout from the symbols, which is an amount of based on what the displayed symbols are.

Casino Prizes
Icons Reward Notes
3 coins 3 Doesn't apply if there are 4 coins.
4 coins 5
3 coin stacks 9 Doesn't apply if there are 4 coin stacks.
4 coin stacks 15
Clover 10 each Gets added to the value of any other matches you have.
Double 2x amount Applies after everything else. Stacks with itself (having 3 gives 8x).
Snake Sets to 0 Doesn't apply if there is a net. Applies after clover.
Net 3 for each snake Also disables snake. Does not stack if you get multiple nets.
4 crowns 100

The order that the icons are displayed does not matter; all that matters is how many of each symbol there is.

Note that, despite the prizes using the icon for coins, it only impacts the payout of the current roll, and is not related to the actual coin count outside the amount awarded on payout.

Beyond the Estate

This section contains datamined information about probabilities. It may contain spoilers for various stages of the game.

The odds for each reel in the casino are chosen independently from each other, and do not depend on whether it is the initial roll or a bonus spin.

The probabilities are as follows:

  • Dash: 27%
  • Coin: 30%
  • Coin Stack: 10%
  • Clover: 1%
  • Double: 10%
  • Snake: 10%
  • Net: 4%
  • Crown: 8%

If you've found a new clue, you know what to do.

There is code meant to prevent getting duplicate nets. But you can get more than one net, so how is it broken?

Spoilers Within

This section contains spoilers for the golden slots.

The golden slot's lever is broken; it can be fixed using a Broken Lever.

The only difference between golden slots and regular slots is that it allows 5 bonus spins instead of 3.

Spoilers Within

This section contains spoilers for optimal strategy.

The optimal strategy is to use bonus spins in any of the following cases (and only these cases):

  • 3 Coins/Coin Stacks + Snake: Roll to remove the Snake, but don't use any more.
  • Double + 2 Coins/Coin Stacks: Roll the last slot to complete the set of 3 Coins/Coin Stacks (or until a Clover appears). Reroll even if there's two Doubles.
  • 3 Coin Stacks: Roll the last slot until it is fourth Coin Stack, a Clover, or a Double. Don't use the last reroll (unless Snake).
  • Clover (with no Net): Reroll any useless symbol, prioritizing Snakes. Don't use the last reroll (unless Snake). The goal is to make a small prize (3 Coins or Coin Stacks), get Doubles, or get more Clovers, with priority going to Doubles.
    • With 2 Crowns + Clover and enough remaining rerolls, it is worth trying to hit 3 Crowns (see the 2 Crowns and 3 Crowns cases below).
    • The exact decision of what to reroll with a Clover varies a lot based on the exact symbols, but it barely makes a difference due to how uncommon this case is.
  • Clover + Net: Reroll any useless symbol. The goal is to get Doubles, Snakes, and/or Clovers in the other two slots.
  • Net + Snake + Double: Reroll the last slot to try for another Snake, another Double, or a Clover.
  • Net + 2 Doubles: Reroll the last slot for a Snake or Clover.
  • 2 Crowns: If you have at least 3 rerolls remaining, reroll to try for a third Crown.
    • If a Snake is present, it's preferred to reroll the non-Snake (in case a Net appears).
  • 3 Crowns: Reroll the last slot to try for the fourth Crown. Don't use the last reroll if the last slot is a Clover.

This gives an expected value of +0.43 with the normal machine and +0.8 with the golden machine (including the 1 coin cost for the initial spin), making this room a way to gain an arbitrary amount of coins.

Interactions

  • The Casino cannot be drawn while drafting in the Library unless at least 2 are held.
