― Room Directory

The Closed Exhibit is a Found Floorplan in Blue Prince. It is a replica of the exhibit in the Fenn Aries Royal Museum, and has heightened security measures to protect the crown located inside.

Entering the Closed Exhibit causes Exposure to play if it has not played already today. This is the same track that plays in the Darkroom.

Drafting requirements

The Closed Exhibit is permanently added to the draft pool after finding the floorplan on the Estate. The floorplan is found inside the safe in the Study.

Even once added, the Closed Exhibit cannot be drafted westwards or eastward on Rank 1. It can still be drafted southwards into Rank 1.

Points of interest

Items

The Closed Exhibit occasionally contains items on the benches:

Does it never end?

This list may be incomplete. If you find an item not on this list, you can help by adding this location to its item page.

Documents

On a low marble bench along the edge of the room, there is a letter written by Farro to his Children.

Mora Jai Box

The Closed Exhibit initially contains a red-themed Mora Jai Box on one of the edge benches.

Effect

The doors of this room are always security doors, regardless of the security level or location in the estate.

Puzzle

In the center of the room is a red crown, which is cordoned off and is therefore inaccessible.

  • Viewing the Security inventory after drafting the Closed Exhibit reveals 1 PAPER CROWN in the estate, suggesting that the crown can be acquired.
  • In the Safehouse, a plan to steal the crown from the closed exhibit of the Fenn Aries Royal Museum can be found. This plan involves using the systems that are at the back of the room. Also, the heist happens near 1:30.

If a room is drafted such that a doorway leads into the back wall of the Closed Exhibit, a control panel appears in place of a boarded-up doorway. The panel has a small window that opens to allow a peek into the Closed Exhibit, as well as three buttons.

The "REVEAL TRIPWIRE" button reveals that there is an invisible set of laser tripwires around the crown (although contained to the cordoned off area). The button's text changes to "HIDE TRIPWIRE" and can be pressed to return to the default state.

The "LOWER BARRIER" button removes the barrier surrounding the crown. The button's text changes to "RAISE BARRIER" and can be pressed to return to the default state. If the area behind the barrier is entered, regardless of if the tripwires are shown or not, a cage appears around the crown, preventing access.

The "RESET ALARM SYSTEM" button, when pressed, causes the tripwires to vanish and starts a 10 second timer. After the timer ends, the tripwires return and are hidden even if they were set to be shown. If the cage was lowered around the crown from hitting the tripwires, this also brings the cage back up.

To obtain the crown, rooms must be drafted such that the button can be pressed and you can run through other rooms quickly enough to each the Closed Exhibit before the timer after pressing "RESET ALARM SYSTEM" runs out. Doing this makes the cage not drop, making it possible to obtain the crown.

  • If the timer runs out and you are standing in the area covered by the tripwires, the cage will appear by the crown, regardless of whether it is grabbed or not.
  • With a good set of rooms (minimal obstacles in the direct path), the crown is reachable fast enough with a loop of 6 rooms, but it is easiest to collect with the shortest possible 4 room loop.

Collecting the crown shows that the crown is the Paper Crown. (See its page for details.)

Spoilers Within

This section contains spoilers for increasing the timer.

If the reset button is pressed between 1:28:20PM and 1:35:00PM, the timer starts at 60 instead of 10, making it very easy to get to the front side of the exhibit in time.

  • This only applies the first time this time range is reached in the day; waiting 24 in-game hours to reach it again does not work.

Interactions

As a Red Room

  • Drafting the Furnace makes the Closed Exhibit more common today.
  • Drafting the Closed Exhibit can trigger a particular experimental trigger which is activated by drafting Red Rooms. It also causes the player to lose 5.
  • There is also a particular experimental effect which provides 3 gold for each Red Room on the estate each time it is triggered, including the Closed Exhibit.
  • The Closed Exhibit is drawn significantly more often during a Red Rooms-restricted draft, initiated by using the red book in the Secret Passage or by using the Prism Key on a locked Red Room door.
  • Upgrade Disk [Upgrade Spoiler: Parlor] Drafting the Closed Exhibit will cause an additional 1 to appear in the Funeral Parlor prize box when it is opened.
  • Upgrade Disk [Upgrade Spoiler: Closet] Drafting the Empty Closet from the Closed Exhibit will cause it to contain four items instead of none.
  • West Path [Outer Room: Shrine] After drafting the Closed Exhibit with Blessing of the General active, if there are Red Rooms in at least five different ranks, the player immediately gains 5.
  • West Path [Outer Room: Shrine] Drafting the Closed Exhibit while cursed will cause the player to lose 1, 1, 1 and 1.
  • [Secret Item: Crown of the Blueprints] When the Closed Exhibit is drawn while drafting, the Crown of the Blueprints can remove it from the draft pool, redraw floorplans, and give 1.
  • [Secret Item: Paper Crown] Drawing the Closed Exhibit while drafting prevents using the Paper Crown's redraw ability.
  • [Game Mode: Dare Mode] The dare in Dare Mode to always draft a red room when drawn applies to the Closed Exhibit.
