― Room Directory

The Conference Room is a room in Blue Prince. It is listed as Room 043 in the Room Directory.

Items

The Conference Room may contain one of the following items on the right side table with the tip:

Documents

The Conference Room has several documents:

  • The right side table has a tip which explains the spread mechanic and the Conference Room's role in spreading items.
  • On the main conference table, there is a notepad with a hand written reminder suggesting that notes were moved from the Conference Room to a safe in the Office.
  • Also on the conference table is a memo stating that the safe code is 9083.
    • As this is a red memo, it is false. However, the two notes nevertheless suggest the idea of there being a safe in the Office.

Spread effect

The Conference Room is a Spread Room, but alters other spread effects rather than causing its own. Any spreading that is done with a Conference Room on the estate will not spread items to other rooms, and instead fills the Conference Room with those items.

Like with regular spreading, the number of items spawned depends on the current number of rooms on the estate. The spread items usually appear on the conference table, starting at one seating position and snaking around the table. Repeatable spread effects will gradually spread items around the table as the are triggered.

Spread effects do not necessarily spread the same number of items to the Conference Room as they would spread if the Conference Room were not present.

Spoilers Within

This section contains spoilers for all items which can be spread.

The Conference Room with all spreadable items

All spread effects are affected by the presence of the Conference Room on the estate:

Coins
  • When the Office terminal is used to spread gold, that gold appears on the conference table as piles of various numbers of coins.
  • West Path [Outer Room: Tomb] Whenever a Dead End is drafted with a Tomb on the estate, a pile of 5 appears on the conference table. The Tomb itself can trigger this interaction when drafted.
Gems
  • When the Patio is drafted, a number of gems appear on the conference table. The quantity of gems still appears to depend on the number of Green Rooms on the estate; however, the gems that appear are blue instead of green.
  • Upgrade Disk [Upgrade Spoiler: Spare Room] The Spare Patio has the same effect.
Keys
  • When the Locker Room is drafted, a number of keys appear on the conference table.
Fruit
  • [Secret Room: Secret Garden] When the Secret Garden is drafted, a number of red apples and oranges appear on the left side table, with the glasses and blank notepads. This effect always seems to produce four apples and three oranges regardless of the number of rooms on the estate, providing 23 in total.
Dirt
  • Surprisingly, dig spots are also considered items which can be gathered by the Conference Room. Any time the dirt spreading experimental effect is triggered, three dig spots appear in the Conference Room instead of on The Grounds; the first five dig spots appear on the conference table, and the remainder appear on the surrounding floor. There is room for exactly 50 dig spots in the Conference Room, or 17 redirected experimental triggers.

Interactions

  • West Path [Outer Room: Shrine] The Conference Room is one of the rooms which may be chosen by the Blessing of the Berry Picker when drafting an Outer Room. Uniquely, the Conference Room can be drafted this way even when there is one already in the house. When this happens, only the Outer Conference Room seems to receive items from spread effects.

Additional information

  • The Conference Room has windows on its side wall if it is drafted on Rank 1 or along the wings of the house.
    • The seven-pronged symbols on the windows may be a reference to the card game Magic: The Gathering, a game for which Blue Prince creator Tonda Ros has operated a preview site, Mythic Spoiler, for over a decade. The Magic planeswalker symbol features five prongs, a representation of the five colors of Magic merging into one, so the seven prongs in the Conference Room symbols may represent the seven floorplan colors of Blue Prince. The Conference Room may have been chosen for this symbol due to its role as a gathering room.
