Dormitory
These small sleeping quarters, devoid of frills and distractions, are ideal for the student, scholar or denizen of academia who wishes to focus on their studies without diversion or interruption. Study and sleep. Rinse and repeat.
The Dormitory is a room in Blue Prince.
Drafting requirements
Dormitory can be permanently added to the draft pool in the Drafting Studio.
Even once it has been added, the Dormitory cannot usually be drafted in either of the two Rank 1 locations directly next to the Entrance Hall, from any direction. It also can't be drafted northwards into either of the two Rank 9 locations directly next to the Antechamber, although it can be drafted east or west into those locations.

Entry effect
The Dormitory provides 10
when it is entered after drafting any 
Drafting Room. Unlike many similar effects, the Dormitory is not a Drafting Room itself, meaning that it is not guaranteed to provide any steps when it is first drafted. It will, however, count any Drafting Room that has been drafted at any point previously in the day, even if it was drafted before the Dormitory.
The Dormitory's effect can trigger multiple times, potentially for a large number of Drafting Rooms. However, it does not stack and must be revisited and entered again each time a Drafting Room is drafted to provide the maximum benefit. If there are already steps "waiting" in the Dormitory due to drafting a Drafting Room, drafting another Drafting Room has no additional effect.
Interactions
As a Bedroom
- Drafting the Dormitory with a Nursery in the estate provides 5.
- Drafting the Dormitory will cause an additional 1
to spawn in the Servant's Quarters when the latter is drafted. - Drafting the Dormitory can trigger or contribute towards triggering a particular experimental trigger which is activated by drafting Bedrooms after the first two.
- Entering the Dormitory while holding Sleeping Mask provides +5, once per room.
- The Dormitory is drawn significantly more often during a Bedrooms-restricted draft, initiated by using the violet book in the Secret Passage or by using the Prism Key on a locked Bedroom door.
- At certain locations in the house, if there are not enough other valid Bedrooms to complete a draft under these effects, it is possible to draw the Dormitory even before it has been added to the draft pool in the Drafting Studio.
[Outer Room: Shrine] Drafting the Dormitory while cursed will cause the player to lose 1.
[Upgrade Spoiler: Cloister] Drafting the Dormitory from the Cloister of Mila will cause it to contain the Secret Garden Key, Vault Key 304, Running Shoes, or a cyan gem. See Cloister of Mila for more information.

- [Mail Room Experiment Spoiler] The Dormitory is mentioned in Randolph's tenth letter to the Mail Room as the location of Drafting Strategy: Architectural Digest Vol. 1. However, this is incorrect as the listed locations of the first two volumes are the wrong way around; Vol. 1 is in the Drafting Studio, whereas the Dormitory contains Vol. 2.
