A social sitting room adorned wall to wall with artwork and drawings. An unfinished sketch of your uncle sits on an easel in the middle of the room, providing a vivid image of what were presumably his final days (depending on when the project was abandoned).

The Drawing Room is a room in Blue Prince, listed as Room 025 in the Room Directory. Covered from wall to wall with sketches and with an effect that allows floorplans to be redrawn, this room encompasses drawing in every sense of the word.

Points of interest

Items

The Drawing Room does not usually contain random items. However, with very high luck, one or two of the following items may spawn on the cabinets and tables on the sides of the room:

Does it never end?

This list may be incomplete. If you find an item not on this list, you can help by adding this location to its item page.

Documents

There is a tutorial tip on a cabinet on along the south wall (as seen in its default floorplan) explaining the basics of drawing floorplans and how redrawing floorplans works.

Although not strictly documents, the walls of the Drawing Room are covered in artwork; dozens of drawings of men, women, children and even horses are drawn in various states of locomotion. In the center of the room, a drawing of Herbert Sinclair rests on an easel, right in front of the chair where the scene was presumably drawn.

The candelabra appears in the drawing in the center of the room, but it is drawn with its left arm tilted down compared to the candelabra on the mantel. Interacting with the actual candelabra reveals it to be a hidden switch, raising one of the wall drawings to present a safe.

A numeric code is required to open the safe. If it is not opened, the portrait and candelabra switch reset at the end of the day.

Spoilers Within

This section contains spoilers for cracking the safe.

The code to the safe is 0415. The "date" that this code corresponds to is 04/15: both parts come from counting the number of small gaits among drawing in the Drawing Room. 15 men and 4 women have strides with a short measure, whereas all depicted figures have large strides.

The alternate codes 1504, 415 and 154 are also accepted.

The safe contains a ruby and a red letter marked by the word "six", written by Herbert Sinclair and addressed to Mary Jones. Opening the safe immediately considers the letter to be discovered and adds a red letter mark to the blueprint menu. Afterwards, the safe and secret compartment remain permanently open and cannot be closed, allowing an additional gem to be acquired in the Drawing Room on future days.

While drafting from doors in the Drawing Room, an additional drafting option is available which allows floorplans to be redrawn once per draft. A model of a pencil appears on the drafting interface while this option is available.
