A room one might go to great lengths to avoid showing guests despite them always probing for its location.
The Lavatory is a room in Blue Prince. It is listed as Room 1 of the Red Rooms page in the Room Directory. Unlike most Red Rooms, the Lavatory does not have an explicit negative effect, instead being a Dead End that is usually utterly devoid of anything useful or interesting.

The Lavatory's Dynamic Rarity is set to Commonplace on Day 1 and 2, unless Veteran Mode is activated (excluding Day 1, unless not on Bequest Mode) or Room 46 has been reached.
At the start of the day, if Lavatory has been drafted 3 or more times, there is a 40% chance for its Dynamic Rarity to be set to Unusual for the day.
The Lavatory is in the Common Free draft pool for every location. Lavatory is included in the usual six Prismatic Pools for free rooms.

In Dare Mode, one of the available dares is to spend 30 seconds each day in the Lavatory. When this dare is active, entering the Lavatory causes the lights to turn off; spending 30 consecutive seconds in the room with the light off is required.
If the Lavatory is sheltered or shielded, this effect does not occur, causing the dare to automatically fail at the end of the day (unless you get a second Lavatory via Chamber of Mirrors).
As a Red Room
- Drafting the Furnace makes the Lavatory more common today.
- Drafting the Lavatory can trigger a particular experimental trigger which is activated by drafting Red Rooms. It also causes the player to lose 5
. - There is also a particular experimental effect which provides 3 gold for each Red Room on the estate each time it is triggered, including the Lavatory.
- The Lavatory is drawn significantly more often during a Red Rooms-restricted draft, initiated by using the red book in the Secret Passage or by using the Prism Key on a locked Red Room door.
[Upgrade Spoiler: Parlor] Drafting the Lavatory will cause an additional 1
to appear in the Funeral Parlor prize box when it is opened.- [Outer Room: Shrine] After drafting the Lavatory with Blessing of the General active, if there are Red Rooms in at least five different ranks, the player immediately gains 5.
- [Outer Room: Shrine] Drafting the Lavatory while cursed will cause the player to lose 1, 1

. - [Secret Item: Crown of the Blueprints] When the Lavatory is drawn while drafting, the Crown of the Blueprints can remove it from the draft pool, redraw floorplans, and give 1.
- [Secret Item: Paper Crown] Drawing the Lavatory while drafting prevents using the Paper Crown's redraw ability.
- [Game Mode: Dare Mode] The dare in Dare Mode to always draft a red room when drawn applies to the Lavatory.
As a Dead End
- Activating Draxus, the Dead makes the Lavatory more common today.
