This poolside Locker Room is of course not always poolside, but it is much more convenient for guests when it is; and much less annoying for the servant who must follow the dripping swimmer across the house searching for the locker.
― Room Directory

The Locker Room is a room in Blue Prince, listed as Room 016 in the Room Directory. Accessible only after drafting The Pool, it not only spreads keys throughout the house but also provides a use for keys in the form of the many lockers contained within.

Drafting requirements

As an Addition, the Locker Room isn't in the initial draft pool. It can only be drawn as a floorplan if the Pool has been drafted today.

The Locker Room's rarity cannot be modified.

  • [Datamined Information] The Locker Room has a permanent Dynamic Rarity of Standard. Since the rarity is unmodifiable, this is always its rarity.

Items

The Locker Room has a high chance to spread a key to itself with its own effect.

Additionally, there is a chance for one of the following items to spawn on one of the wooden benches lining the room:

Does it never end?

This list may be incomplete. If you find an item not on this list, you can help by adding this location to its item page.

* A key can spawn in at least two different positions, not including the key that the Locker Room can spread to itself. With sufficient luck, it is possible to get more than one.

The Locker Room may also contain items and documents within its lockers. See #Locker contents for more information.

Lockers

A locked locker in the Locker Room

The Locker Room is home to 36 pool lockers, grouped into 6 rows of 6 on the left side of the room after entering. 16 lockers are sealed with no means of interacting with them, and are completely inaccessible. 3 lockers are open by default, and cannot be closed. The remaining 17 lockers are all locked; attempting to interact with them brings up a prompt that allows a key to be used to unlock the door.

Lockers do not count as doors, meaning that they cannot be lockpicked or opened by special keys or unlock effects. Opening lockers is not permanent; any opened lockers will be found locked again in future Locker Rooms.

Diagram showing the contents of the various Locker Room lockers

The contents of three of the unlockable lockers is always fixed:

  • The closest locker on the second row after entering contains two jugs of moonshine and a cryptic note presumably written by Denny Revane. The black ink seems to have written first, with the more frantic red scribbles added later.
  • The second closest locker on the fifth row after entering contains a scrap of a mathematics worksheet with unusual lettering. The worksheet appears to be taken from Grade 2 of the Classroom.
  • The closest locker in the final row after entering contains a simple green memo claiming that Kirk Darren is a pseudonym.

The remaining 14 lockers all have a chance to contain items when opened. Items are generated at the moment the locker is unlocked, and do not exist in the house beforehand. It is not clear if the lockers' contents are affected by luck.

Each locker contains 0-3 items from the following list. Resource items may appear more than once in a given locker.

Does it never end?

This list may be incomplete. If you find an item not on this list, you can help by adding this location to its item page.

If you've found a new clue, you know what to do.

If so, is the locker item pool the same as the Locker Room's?

Spread effect

A basic key appearing at the back of the Entrance Hall central table after drafting the Locker Room

When drafted, the Locker Room will spread basic keys throughout the estate. This can include the Locker Room itself, but not any rooms drafted after the Locker Room. Each room appears to have a slightly lower chance of receiving a key than they do of receiving items from other spread effects.

Interactions

  • If there is a Conference Room in the house, any key that would be spread to another room by the Locker Room is spread to the Conference Room instead.
  • The effect of Silver Key does not prevent the Locker Room from being drawn, despite it having only two doors. This may be because the lockers within are enough for it to be considered "a room with many doors".
    • [Datamined Information] Specifically, the Locker Room acts as a room with three doors for the Silver Key, despite how it only has two.
  • [Boiler Room spoilers] The Locker Room is fitted with steam ducts, allowing it to convey steam power from the Boiler Room. The Locker Room also has an increased chance to be drawn when drafting from other rooms with ducts, and has an increased chance to draw those rooms when being drafted from.
  • West Path [Outer Room: Shrine] While the Blessing of the Chef is active, activating the Locker Room's spread effect by drafting it can add a unique dish to the Dining Room. This dish, Key Lime Pie, provides 5 and 1, with a further +1 if there is a Locksmith in the house.

Edit this section at Locker Room/Outer.
Acquiring the Blessing of the Monk from the Shrine and calling it a day in the Locker Room will allow it to be drafted as an Outer Room the next day. This can be done despite it not being part of the initial draft pool.

Usually, floorplans reserved for Outer Room drafting are removed from the draft pool at the start of the day. As the Locker Room is never in the initial draft pool to begin with, it is not removed. Drafting the Pool will add the Locker Room in regardless, allowing two Locker Rooms to be drafted in the same day.

Most rooms only have one location to which the Locker Room may spread a key. If two Locker Rooms spread a key to the same location, those keys perfectly overlap; they will appear as one key until one is picked and the other remains in place. This is most noticeable when both rooms spread keys to the same Conference Room.
