We all need a bit of it... Luck determines the likelihood that you will find additional items in rooms on your estate. Luck can be raised by certain items and rooms, marked on their floorplan by a clover.

Luck is a mechanic in Blue Prince that affects the quality and quantity of item spawns. There is currently no known way to track luck in game.

Rooms affecting luck

  • Veranda - Greater chance of finding items in Green Rooms.
    • Upgrade Disk [Upgrade Spoiler: Spare Room] Spare Veranda - has the same effect.
  • Maid's Chamber - Less likely to find items laying around in your house.
  • Upgrade Disk [Upgrade Spoiler: Cloister] Cloister of Rynna - Raise your 🍀LUCK with each GREEN ROOM you draft from this CLOISTER.


Other luck effects

  • Lucky Rabbit's Foot - Greater chance of finding items.
    • Workshop [Contraption Spoiler: Lucky Purse] Lucky Purse - inherits this effect.
  • Workshop [Contraption Spoiler: Dowsing Rod] Dowsing Rod - points to floorplans during drafting which will have a greater chance of containing items.
  • [Major Constellation: Spiral of Stars] Spiral of Stars - once at least 69 words have been added, provides a significant, one-time boost to today's luck.

Luck is a value that can be changed by luck effects.

When drafting a room, if the condition is met, additional modifiers are applied for that draft (without modifying the current luck value):

  • Veranda: first one in a day gives +12, all later ones give +6. Applied if the room you drafted is green.
  • Spare Veranda: +6 per. Applied if the room drafted is green.
  • Lucky Rabbit's Foot: +3 if the item is currently in inventory. Also works if you have a Lucky Purse.

Drafting under the Dowsing Rod's effect is luck-adjacent, but it uses its own system which is mostly separate from this one. See its page for details.

Most rooms don't use the item count given directly, instead modifying this item count in some way to determine the real item count. See a specific room's page for details on how many items spawn based on luck. Unless otherwise stated, if more items are given from Luck than the amount of remaining items in the room's spawn pool, no additional items spawn, just providing every item in the spawn pool.

Luck Penalty is subtracted from your current Luck value after applying the modifiers that apply to this draft. It increases from the effects below.

  • 4- Luck: 7% for 1 item, 93% for 0 items.
  • 5-10 Luck: The chance to get 1 item is the first line of the above that applies:
    • If Room 46 has been reached, 15%.
    • On Day 6 or later, 25%.
    • On Day 1, if Veteran Mode was enabled by doing fast early drafts, 23%.
    • If Veteran Mode is enabled, 15%.
    • On Day 3 or later, 20%.
    • Otherwise, 18%.
    • If the roll fails, it gives 0 items.
  • 11-15 Luck: 1.6% for variable items, 38.4% for 1 item, 60% for 0 items.
  • 16-18 Luck: 3.2% for variable items, 76.8% for 1 item, 20% for 0 items.
  • 19-22 Luck: Variable items.
  • 23-28 Luck: 3 items and +2 to Luck Penalty.
  • 29+ Luck: 4 items and +3 to Luck Penalty.

If variable items is chosen, it corresponds to items as follows:

  • 10- Luck: 1 item.
  • 11-16 Luck: 2 items and +1 to Luck Penalty.
  • 17+ Luck: 5% for 3 items and +3 to Luck Penalty; 95% for 2 items and +1 to Luck Penalty.
