Lunch Box
When you reach Rank 5 today, gain 10.
. The Lunch Box is a special item and food item in Blue Prince. A unique item accessible only after reaching Room 46, it provides 10 upon reaching Rank 5.
How to obtain
The Lunch Box is an unlockable item that must first be bought from the Gift Shop for 15
as a one-time purchase. After purchasing, it will be permanently added to all present and future Dining Rooms, where it can be picked up and added to the player's inventory.
If the player already has a Lunch Box, usually due to the Coat Check or Moon Pendant, the Lunch Box still spawns. However, duplicate Lunch Boxes have confusing and inconsistent behavior.
Usage
Entering Rank 5 while holding the Lunch Box will consume it, removing it from the inventory and providing 10. If the Dining Room is on Rank 5 or higher, it is automatically consumed when picked up.
The Lunch Box is only consumed while on Rank 5 or higher while holding it. It is not automatically consumed on collection if the Dining Room is on Rank 4 or lower, even if Rank 5 was reached earlier in the day.
Interactions
- The Lunch Box is still affected by the Salt Shaker and the Silver Spoon despite being a special item.
- Since the Lunch Box's usage is automatic, it can save the player from calling calling it a day if they use their last step to enter Rank 5, which puts them from 0 to 10. This sets it apart from all other food items, which cannot be consumed while on 0.
- The Lunch Box never appears on the Security inventory.
