Ornate Compass
The Ornate Compass or Drafting Compass is a luxury special item in Blue Prince. It can be purchased from the Showroom and allows the first three floorplans drawn during drafting to be rotated.
How to obtain
The Ornate Compass is not usually in the item pool, but it has a moderate chance of appearing for sale in the Showroom, where it costs 50
.

Usage
While holding the Ornate Compass, an additional drafting option appears at the start of each draft that allows floorplans to be rotated. A model of the Ornate Compass appears at the top of the drafting interface while this option is available.
Like all rotation effects, this option only has an effect if at least one of the drawn floorplans has multiple valid orientations in the current position. Each activation spins rooms into the next valid orientation in the clockwise direction, despite them appearing to spin anticlockwise visually.
The option can be used any number of times, but only on the first draw. Redrawing floorplans causes both the drafting option and the visual model to vanish from the drafting interface until the next draft.

Interactions
- Only one rotation drafting option can ever be available at any one time. If the Ornate Compass and any other rotation effects are active at the same time, all but one of those effects is suppressed.
- The effect of the Rotunda overrides the Ornate Compass' effect.

[Outer Room: Shrine] The Ornate Compass overrides the Blessing of the Dancer.
