― Room Directory

The Storeroom is a room in Blue Prince. It is listed as Room 012 in the Room Directory.

Points of interest

Items

The Storeroom always contains a basic key, a cyan gem, and a single coin:

  • : On top of a short stool near the back.
  • : On top of a barrel near the back.
  • : On top of a crate immediately to the left after entering.

The Storeroom has a chance to contain an additional container at the back of the room. Very rarely, it may instead contain a special item near the gem and key or on the boxes on the right.

Documents

Partially hidden between a pair of chairs on the right side of the room, there is a small drawing of Swim Bird.

Interactions

  • [Chamber of Mirrors Spoiler] The Chamber of Mirrors may contain a physical copy of the Storeroom's floorplan in one of its cabinets which can be permanently added to the draft pool.
  • The Storeroom cannot be drafted from the Library.

The Storeroom is one of the floorplans which may be randomly selected when using an Upgrade Disk at a computer terminal.

There are three possible upgrades:

Floorplan Effect Description
StoreroomKeysUpgradeIcon.png +2, 1, 1 No change
StoreroomGemsUpgradeIcon.png +1, 2, 1 No change
StoreroomCoinsUpgradeIcon.png +1, 1, 10 No change

All three upgrades have a very similar effect, each increasing one type of resource item offered. The key and gem upgrades each add one, whereas the coins upgrade adds 9. None of the Storeroom's upgrades alter the name, types, or appearance of the room.

The view of the Storeroom in all of the upgraded floorplan icons is mirrored compared to how it appears in room in-game. This stands in contrast to the base Storeroom icons, which are only flipped when facing south or west.

Additional information

  • The Storeroom's floorplan appears mirrored compared to how it should look on the Blueprint Map whenever it is drafted southwards or westwards.
  • The Storeroom can be seen on one of the monitors in Security. It can also be glimpsed on the monitors in the Security cinematic.
