― Item description

The Telescope is a rare special item in Blue Prince. It is used in the Observatory to allow seeing a second copy of the constellations.

How to obtain

The Telescope is only present in the item pool if the player has at least 1 at start the day, and cannot spawn otherwise.

This item can be found in the following locations.

This item can be purchased from the following shops.

This item can also be obtained from the following sources.

A Telescope can be guaranteed to spawn in the following ways.

Upgrade Disk [Upgrade Spoiler: Cloister] Drafting the Boudoir, Nursery, or Her Ladyship's Chamber from the Cloister of Mila will always cause it to contain a Telescope, if it is available.

Usage

The Telescope can be used in the Observatory to spawn open the night sky that displays the constellations that correspond to the current amount of you have at the time of looking. This night sky is independent of the night sky formed from the large Observatory telescope, allowing the constellations to be activated a second time, or even an entirely different set of constellations if the count changed between the two views.

The Telescope can be used repeatedly to view the stars again as needed, but the constellations that appear are fixed from the first time the Telescope was used in a given Ovservatory.

If multiple Observatories are drafted in a day, the Telescope can be used in each of them to produce a new night sky for each.

The planets seem to appear in a random order, except Mora which is always last. The effects of all unlocked planets apply. Once all five planets appear, the Telescope can no longer be used in the Planetarium.
