― Room Directory

The Throne Room is a found floorplan in Blue Prince. It is a cryptic room that has minimal utility outside puzzles.

Drafting

The Throne Room is permanently added to the draft pool after finding the floorplan on the Estate.

This floorplan is found in the Orindian Ruins, which becomes accessible after opening Blackbridge Grotto and acquiring the three Microchips. Unlike other found floorplans, it does not get added to the draft pool until the day after it is added.

The Throne Room is always drafted from the entrance facing toward the throne head-on. It cannot be rotated and cannot be drafted from entrances that would lead outside the estate with this restriction.

Additionally, the Throne Room cannot be drafted on Rank 1 or 9.

Points of interest

This room contains a North Antechamber Lever.

Puzzle

Spoilers Within

This section contains spoilers for this room's puzzle.

The Throne Room's puzzle is to "reclaim the crown", as the effect of the room states. The primary hint to begin solving the puzzle is found in Her Ladyship's Sleep Diary, though it is not strictly necessary.

Note that this is a lategame puzzle and requires access to several lategame plot-relevant items, most notably the Royal Scepter.

The following clues may also help solve this puzzle, but are much more cryptic than the mainline method presented:

  • Treasure Trove: The 44th memo gives a hint for drafting a second Antechamber outside and going beyond it.
  • Classroom (grade 6): Part of the coronation of the first Fenn Ariesian king is shown in the slideshow, where he has the three necessary items.
  • The Red Prince (Manuscript): page 3 shows the Red Prince with the three necessary items.

Following the picture on the last page of Her Ladyship's Sleep Diary, the solution is to match that image by using the Blessing of the Monk to draft an Antechamber on the West Path.

Entering this outer Antechamber gives a different note than usual, stating that the player is "so close, yet so far."

Opening the north door of the Antechamber then reveals a hidden room beyond. This hidden room can also be accessed by drafting the Garage outside and opening the door.

Regardless of how it's reached, the following note is found:

Following the instructions on the note, one must bring the four elements together:

Just acquiring all three of these items and bringing them to the throne might not do anything. Following the lore shown in The Red Prince and the Fenn Ariesian coronation, the key is color coordination. While the Fenn Ariesian crown is red, the Crown of the Blueprints is blue; hence the Royal Scepter must also be set to blue.

When the process is complete, a cutscene of Simon ascending the throne plays. Afterwards, the Throne Room permanently ascends and becomes the Throne of the Blue Prince:

The former seat of power of House Aries, enthroned anew in the Sixth Era of Nevmora and exalted beneath the blue banners of Mount Holly. Where the sigil of Orinda Aries was once affixed, the crest of her ladyship, the Grand Architect Baroness Auravei, now presides over the court.

Effect

If the Throne of the Blue Prince is in the estate, drafting Blueprints increments a counter, marked with a blue Mt. Holly crest and visible in the same place as resource items. Drafting a room that is not blue resets this counter to 0. When the counter reaches 8, a message saying "Seal Unlocked" appears. (This only appears the first time this is done in the savefile.)

Once this is accomplished, special blue doors marked with the crest of Mt. Holly will open when approached.

After the seals have been unlocked, the blue room counter still appears but does not do anything.

Interactions

As a Blueprint, it loses its Blackprint interactions.

Interactions

  • The Throne Room cannot be drawn while drafting in the Library unless at least 2 are held.
  • Throne Room contains a black king chess piece.
